Candlelight Concert in Eastbourne: Hans Zimmer, Ed Sheeran vs Coldplay

Live String Quartet Music at All Saints, The Old Chapel in Eastbourne

On Saturday 24 October, Premiere String Quartet will perform at Fever Candlelight Concerts at All Saints, The Old Chapel, in Eastbourne. The programmes of music are from two familiar sources: the film scores of Hans Zimmer @ 8.30pm and popular songs by Ed Sheeran and Coldplay @ 6.30pm.

Each concert offers an opportunity to hear these pieces arranged for string quartet, with the acoustic sound of violins, viola and cello.

From Film Scores to Contemporary Pop

Hans Zimmer is known for his distinctive film music, combining memorable themes with dramatic shifts in mood and intensity. His compositions have become familiar to audiences through cinema, making them well suited to a live performance.

The programme also features songs by Ed Sheeran and Coldplay. Arranged for string quartet, these popular tracks take on a different sound.

The combination of film music and contemporary pop gives a varied programme in two concerts, whether you are a regular concertgoer or simply enjoy hearing familiar music performed live.

A Candlelit Setting

The concert takes place at All Saints, The Old Chapel, a historic venue in Eastbourne. Candlelight provides the setting for the performance, creating a more intimate atmosphere.

For local audiences, it offers a chance to enjoy live music in a different setting, with a programme that brings together classical instrumentation and contemporary repertoire.
