We recently provided a wedding string quartet at Odo’s Barn in Billinghurst, West Sussex, for Amy’s wedding. The couple chose the music themselves, selecting a mixture of contemporary songs and personal favourites for the ceremony, drinks reception and cake cutting.

For the ceremony entrance, they chose Aerosmith’s I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing. During the drinks reception, we played a varied selection including Dance Monkey, Espresso and Crazy, followed by Empire State of Mind for the cake cutting.

The music was chosen specifically to reflect the couple’s tastes, rather than following a traditional wedding repertoire. This gave the drinks reception a mixture of familiar pop songs and more relaxed arrangements, while the ceremony entrance and cake cutting had their own individual choices.

We regularly provide live music for weddings at venues across West Sussex and the surrounding areas. Our string quartet is suitable for ceremonies, drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts, and we also offer string trio and string duo options for smaller spaces or more intimate events.

Couples can choose from our existing repertoire or discuss particular songs they would like included. Our arrangements cover classical pieces alongside pop, rock, film music and other contemporary repertoire.

Odo’s Barn was a great setting for the wedding, and the varied choice of music worked particularly well across the different parts of the day. 🎻
