Candlelight Concert at Brighton Pavilion: Vivaldi, Coldplay & Imagine Dragons 🕯️🎻

Pemiere String Quartet recently had the pleasure in performing at the Brighton Pavilion for another Candlelight Concert presented by Fever 🕯️✨, performing two contrasting one-hour programmes in a unique, candlelit setting.

🎻 Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons 🌸☀️🍂❄️

The first programme featured Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons—a cornerstone of the string repertoire. Its vivid depiction of the changing seasons continues to resonate with audiences, from the lightness of spring to the intensity of winter.

The atmosphere inside Brighton Pavilion added something special to the performance, with the candlelight enhancing both the setting and the music.

🎶 Coldplay & Imagine Dragons by Candlelight 🕯️

The second programme focused on contemporary music, featuring string quartet arrangements of well-known tracks by Coldplay and Imagine Dragons 🎶

The set included:

Clocks
Radioactive
Viva La Vida

Reworking these tracks for string quartet offers a different perspective—bringing out inner harmonies, rhythmic detail, and texture that can sometimes be overlooked in the original versions.

🕯️ A Great Audience & Live Music

Both concerts were played to a full and engaged audience, which always makes a difference. The Candlelight series continues to create a space where classical and contemporary music can sit side by side in a relaxed setting.
